Welcome to my site! I’m publishing the placeholder pages I’ve written in order to motivate myself into kicking this blog into gear. In 2026, you can expect articles detailing basic SQL Server concepts written by a person who kind of knows what they’re talking about!

I’ve been a SQL Server DBA for 6 years and have had the opportunity to work alongside unbelievably talented people who have taught me a great deal about databases and software development. The SQL Server community has been equally valuable to my professional growth. Between detailed StackOverflow answers, the SQL Server community slack, expert bloggers, and training from some of the best in the industry (the SQLSkills crew, Erik Darling and Brent Ozar to name a few!), I have been able to tackle SQL Server problems that once seemed too daunting to comprehend. This blog is both a showcase for what I’ve learned from others as well as my contribution – to try and pay forward what I’ve benefited from.

In my time exploring engine internals and performance optimization tricks, I’ve learned just how much there is left for me to learn! Join me on my journey to becoming a SQL Server expert!
